Dynamic Assessment
Dynamic Assessment (DA) is designed to evaluate the potential for learning in an individual, rather than to test what has been learned up to a given point. By utilizing the test-intervene-retest procedure, the examiner is able to observe and record how a person learns, what kind of teaching strategies are required to help him/her respond more successfully, and how much of the observed learning is retained when new and more challenging tasks are presented.
We provide dynamic assessment to design an individualized learning plan for struggling learners. Therefore, each individual must be assessed prior to being accepted as a learner. Treatment is determined on a case-by-case basis and is based on the results of the dynamic assessment.
