Mathematics Instruction Integrated with Critical Thinking Skills
Our intensive math program caters to learners with learning differences and gifted and talents students from Kindergarten through sixth grade. We provide a math curriculum that is differentiated to best suit the needs of each learner. Our curriculum includes remediation, acceleration, and enrichment tools that will challenge your child and develop the thinking skills necessary for problem solving in the real world. Our well-balanced instruction includes the essential focal points for success in each grade level from Kindergarten through twelfth grade and beyond. The instructional advantages include: 
  • Investigation of concepts in depth, with complexity and rigor at each level to ensure the development of conceptual understanding and reach concept mastery
  • Fundamental concepts including place value; measurement; one, two, and three-digit addition and subtraction; organization and use of data; fractions; the value and use of money; multiplication and division; and geometric figures and spatial reasoning
  • Being able to not only calculate the answer to a problem, but to explain the answer and the processes used to reach it
  • Varied teaching approaches involving several modalities to fully engage your child in learning, such as manipulating materials during hands-on activities, concrete and visual modeling, and group discussion
  • Emphasis on problem solving strategies and skills – using multiple methods for solving problems
  • Application of visual thinking, logical reasoning, number sense, and algebra skills to solve problems
  • Comprehensive assessment system including diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments of progress that accurately gauge your child’s strengths and areas of need
